Let's have a closer look at them.
ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY
Tell us how often we do an activity. Adverbs of frequency are:
always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, hardly ever, never.
ADVERB | FREQUENCY | EXAMPLE |
---|---|---|
always | 100% | I always eat sandwiches for breakfast. |
usually | 90 % | We usually start lessons at 8.30. |
often | 70 % | Then often go to the cinema at weekends. |
sometimes | 50 % | I sometimes read a book before going to sleep. |
seldom | 10% | They seldom walk to school. |
hardly ever | 5% | Mary hardly ever eats sweets. |
never | 0% | We never go to school in July and August. |
Can you think of the things that you do: always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, hardly ever, never. Tell your teacher and classmates about it.
